Hello all,

Jessie in AZ here. I have mistakenly let my 20 year old brother use my pc recently to look up "low rider bikes" as he acquired one and wants to sell it. The sites he was visiting apparently had lots of pop ups and yuck on them so we are now infected with what I think is the CWS or the home page hijacker..

I will happily posting on my yahoogroup and a million IE's will open up (I do have mozilla that I use, but usually use my msn software since it is connected to my email and Im lazy)

I have updated and run ADaware and Spybot Search and destroy

Your log looks clean. Where are the files that are being detected as CoolWebSearch located?

When i ran ADaware it came up with Cool Web Search..it had also listed a dialer and such

is it possible that my running adaware and spybot S&D it cleaned whatever I had up?

I have yet to have the issue again. So hopefully I am clean. That would be a plus
