Microsoft To Cease IE Support For Mac

A while ago, Microsoft stopped updating IE for the Mac, freezing it at version 5. According to Microsoft's webpage, all support will cease for the browser December 31, 2005, and any official distribution with cease January 31, 2006.

"...Macintosh users [should] migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple's Safari." says Microsoft.

    Not really. Mac users haven't been using IE for years. It's an exercise in futility, as most sites don't support IE5 anyway.

    It used to be a great product when released, with a better interface than it's pc counterpart.

    Now, it's a POS that only the uninformed use. Painfully slow.
