doom3 installation troubles

just got doom3 for christmas, and im having some trouble installing it. it goes all fine through discs 1 and 2, but when it asks for disc 3, i put it in and the drive starts spinning and then stops. the progress stops at 2/3 the way through and doesnt start again. any ideas as to why and/or how to fix?

    sounds like you have a dirty or bad disk ...try cleaning it maybe. Otherwise you may need to return it for a replacement.

    Make a folder on your desktop and copy the all the discs into it. Then install the game from the folder. There should be a setup exe to double click to start the install. If you can't copy the disc 3 then the disc is bad.
