Best ram

Well i have 1 gig pc 3500 Kingston Hyperx ram and want to put another gig in my pc


Whats the best ram for around 120 bucks

i was looking at the crucial ballistix 512 x 2

Right now Balistix are under a bit of a black cloud with their ram suffering from unexpected failures so until that gets resolved I'd say it's best to avoid them.

That said I'll tell you what, I'm absolutely loving this Patriot ram I'm running now. Gotta love cas 2-3-2-5 1t at a 1 gig per stick density.

I would imagine their smaller stick perform just as well.

Ive always heard great things about mushkin so i figured id go with them.


What to do?



I am leaning towards the single chip so i can pull the kingston sell it and then buy another and have 2 x 1gb

My vote goes with madmat. The best money I ever spent was on the Patriot dual channel XBLK ram. It is performance that can really be seen..
The memory is so fast with my MSI motherboard that when I load any of my online games, as soon as the maps load I am in game, no free up time at all..I will buy this ram for all my future computers.

I have been using the OCZ Platinum ram over Corsairs and Patriots ram and have seen awesome performance! I would say OCZ is probably the best Ram on the market right now~!
