U3 smart jump drive issue

i got the 1 gig sandisk cruzer micro with U3 on it, and the blasted thing wont work on my computer, or any computer in the house for that matter. windows detects it, and installs the drivers, and the drives show up, but the u3 software wont launch. cant even view the contents of the drive or write to it. i took it back to best buy where i work, and tested it in their system, and it worked fine. go figure right? i tested this thing on 3 computers here at home. all with windows xp. has anyone else had this problem? its so weird.

    oook. daemon tools was keeping it from launching its software. totally not worth the hastle. steer clear of these U3 drives if you want it to just "work" in any computer u stick it in. thats my $0.02 worth on these things.
