Help please

Trumandrummer

For some reason when i got on my computer today i had no internet connection. so i was messing around with my network conections from control panel. under broadband connections.... the connection i always used "broadband connection" (1) is disconected, so i clicked connect and it says "cannot connect, error 678. the remote computer did not respond..............." so i messed with my Lan and was able to get some connection but it seems to be slow. and i dont know how to get my broadband connection to work. can anyone help me?
