msinfo32 wont show system info

im running on windows xp,i have been trying to see my system information, i tried tipying msinfo in the run window but it takes me to the help and support center, then i tried going to start>all programs>accessories>systemtools>system information, but this also takes me to the help and support center, last i tried using the tools from help and support center, there is one that says view detailed system information (Msinfo32.exe) but this also takes me to the help and support center home page, i dont remember this happening before am i doing something wrong? how can i look at my system information?
