not sure about this file ass.

just installed System Mechanic 6 and ever since Winpatrol has been asking if itis ok for this file ass. change ....
Windows Scripting Host – WSCRIPT.EXE to Windows Notepad - NOTEPAD.EXE the next one is Windows Registry Editor - REGEDIT.EXE to Windows Notepad - NOTEPAD.EXE and last is Screen Saver - %1 /S to Windows Notepad - NOTEPAD.EXE i now all are safe but can i allow changes or what? I don't know if i'm worring for nothing but i don't want to make problems

    No, that sounds like a virus. I would run a full virus scan with the latest definitions as well as running a few spyware tools like AdAware and Ewido.

    System Mechanic 6 will change those associations so that malware can't execute anything but on the downside when you try to add a reg entry it opens notepad instead...no it's not a fluke nor a virus, it's for security purposes but I think it's pretty useless myself.
