Sapphire today announced that it has started shipping cards based on ATI's Radeon X1600 Pro GPUs in an AGP configuration to accommodate more of the market.

They plan to release more products in both PCIe and AGP configurations, starting with the Radeon X1600 Pro. While PCI Express is all the craze, the number of users still using AGP 4X and 8X systems still lead the tally count.
"We have plans to ship other X1k AGP cards but the X1600 Pro AGP is available and shipping now."

Cool. If it's affordable, I might pick it up. It'll be awhile before I can afford the platform change to AMD 64.
