Question in re FAH file extensions

I need to know what extension the Windows graphics client uses for temp work files. They keep accumulating in my Norton
Protected Recycle Bin, to the tune of 1264 at last dumping of Norton Protected Recycled Bin which was only 12 hours from last dumping. I have installed no software, run almost nothing that eould do this, the machine is NOT virused, and I do not get or receive email in Windows nor surf much (when I surf from Windows I clean the temp internet files and the Protected Recycle Bin right afterwards). For those 12 hours, the only app running was Folding. This would help all of us who have Symantec SystemWorks installed, as the Protected Recycle Bin can be told to NOT save files with a wildarded extension spec and I would like to do so.

For instance, files of *.dat type will not be saved on my box if sent to the recycle bin, and the Protected Recycle Bin will not save them either the way I have things configured now. Also, *.htm files dragged to recycle bin or deleted are dumped right through the Protected Recycle Bin.

John.

Look in your work folder under Folding@Home.
There should be about 15 different file extensions.

I got files appear faster than that when doing nothing without F@H even running. Windows is just constantly doing stuff, and consequently Norton fills up stupidly fast (making it almost useless).

Why are they going to the recycling bin?

A Norton protected Bin catched all files that are overwritten and/or removed by programs or the operating system, as opposed to the normal Recycle Bin which just catches files that you have deleted.
