Hi, i still got some problems with my internet recently, i was with the VIA onboard networking device when i was having A LOT of problems, now with MARVELL device things got better but there's still some weird things...
I have a kinda WIFI internet connexion using PPPOE technnology, my ISP says my signal is the best they've seen in the area and they say i lose signal only like one time each 4-5 days...
However, i was having problems with my connexion, being disconnected... being unable to connect... When im unable to connect i unplug the networking wire from my computer and put it back, it works most of the time...
But then when im connected i had also wierd problems, like not being able to UPDLOAD anything... So after throwing some **** to my ISP they decided to try someting, i got a new networking decoder device (its like a little black box where the wire from the transmitter come in and theres a output wire that go in my networking card input plug, it have a little PSU that i need to plug in)
I have no more problems in upload now, but there's still wierd things like when im connecting to WoW im having 20 000ms latency... its weird cuz MSN is working very well while my WoW is lagging as hell... Its not the server cuz my friend is playing WoW with the same ISP as me (WIFI PPPOE) and its working very well. Im able to play wow too cuz if i unplug/plug again and again while reconnecting to internet it will works in like 5 minutes of trying... lol After that when it finaly works i got 200-400ms latency in WoW.
To try to resolve my problems, i've buy a LinkSys networking card and i've install it in my computer. I've desactivated in bios my 2 onboard devices, and i've try this new card... With this card im not able to connect at all... it says something like 'waiting for PPPOE response...' or something like that and after 30 sec a box says 'no answer from PPPOE...'
Maybe my computer is all ****ed-up ? Im very tired of those problems and i would like to find a solution Should i try to format ??? I dont realy want too Another weird thing is that even if i disable my 2 onboard networking devices they still appear in my my computer, if i uninstall the drivers for them when i reboot windowa reinstall them... So i just put them 'disconnected' to be sure they wont cause problem while im trying my LinkSys card... My LinkSys card is linked as #6 local networking device, i dont have 6 devices ! for sure lol...
One thing i'll try to do is getting another computer at home and try my internet connexion from another PC... But i think it'll work... that why im so down My ISP ask me to try another computer too... So i'll try to find one i could take home...
The weird things about all this :
1) I can make it work very well with some trys and some effort...
2) I can't connect at all with my LinkSys card... Ligth are flashing and everything seems good, but no connection is possible. the 'no answer from PPPOE...' problem is there all the time with this card...
3) its working great at one of my friend house...
Any help or tips about my situation will be appreciated... As i am short of any idea now heh

Forgive me for that
1) First, i can't replace the ethernet cable... I've got like 180 feet of ethernet cable to replace if i want to try this... So for now i'll stay like this until im sure this is the problem... I've got a 60' tower so it took a lot of wire to reach my computer lol
2) With the new 'connecting device' (black box with input-output and powersupply) thins goes better... Last nite i've been able to play WoW without problems. But tomorow this was ****... Its not stable... sometimes its ok, sometimes its sh*t... But this is only working while using my MARVELL onboard device...
3) I can't try to only use my LinkSys networking card because even if i disable my onboard VIA networking device it is still detected by windows, if i uninstall the driver for it, when i'll boot it'll come back...
4) Now that this is working most of the time with MARVELL device (not too well sometimes tho... Im connected but its laggy as hell), the only thing i could test is my LinkSys networking card under safe mode... BTW, how do we launch windows in safe mode ? There's a shortcut ???
Thankx
