Hi guys - sorry ive been away for so long!!!!

Work has been a bitch!

Speaking of which I am trying to fix a Dell PC for someone -

XP Home SP2,
512MB RAM
P4 1.6
ATI Rage Pro

Every time the PC is shut down there is a BSOD

BAD_POOL_CALLER

0X000000C2 (0X0000007, 0X00000CD4, 0X0404020F, 0XE134E3F8)

I have googled and searched Microsofts site but dont understand their answers.

I have tried to get into Safe Mode and every time I try it, I get a BSOD before I get to Windows:

This one says:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

0X0000000A (0XF8B55354, 0X000000FF, 0X00000001, 0X804E2E41)

iN THE bios the IRQs are assigned as follows:
VGA Adapter IRQ 11
Intel Corp USB Adapter IRQ 11
Intel Corp Serial Bus IRQ 10
Intel Corp Multiledia IRQ 10
3com Corp network Card IRQ 11

In windows system:
IRQ 10 amd 11 are not shown????????

the BAD POOL Caller ONLY shows up on closedown
The IRQL only shows up if I try and boot into SAFE mode

ANyone haqve any ideas?

Many thanks

Siggy

Have you run Memtest86 on that machine yet to check if you might have a bad stick of ram?
