Search Assistant, what are the symptoms?

I decided to run PestPatrol's free scan today for no apparent reason, and it brought up "Search Assistant" on my system, except it is only 1 file in the registry. Furthermore, I don't have any of the symptoms (popups, change in homepage, ect) that everyone else seems to get. I used to have a problem with the Coolwebsearch thing, until I killed it... could this be left over from that?

I downloaded the free PestPatrol scanner so I could go ahead and get rid of it, except the PestPatrol scanner doesn't pick up the file... And I can't seem to update the free version for some reason...

Here is what it said:

Adware "Search Assistant" found in:
Key "hkey_current_user \software\microsoft\search assistant" value "defaultsearchurl" data "http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/q.cgi?q="

Do I really have a problem? What would happen if I delete that one registry key?

Here is my current (totally free as well) setup if it matters:
Avast!
Sygate Firewall
Microsoft AntiSpyware
Spybot
Ad-Aware

Actually the update for Pestpatrol just worked, and it killed it sucessfully.

So instead of doing those long methods of killing Search Assistant, Pestpatrol might work too.
