Widescreen or not??

I am planning on getting one of the Dell 20.1 inch LCD monitors whenever they go on sale again. But I noticed that they had widescreen and regular. The widescreen is usually cheaper. And they both have the same diagonal measurement. I watch movies, play games and surf the web. Which would be better??

widescreen:

One is 4:3 and the other is 16:9. I'd go for the widescreen myself and not becuase of the price ;)

I'm with RWB. Widescreen is the trend of the future in TV (thanks to HDTV), and I strongly suspect that it will be the same for computers.

I wouldn't buy on the basis of future-proofing with regard to high-definition movies: none of these monitors support HDCP. I'd get the 20.1 4:3 since you can actually use all those pixels. I own a 2405FPW and while it's a stellar monitor all the games I play are 4:3 and only a few movies can fill it up.
