Its a waste of money, go for a psp if anything. I had a DS, and when I realized that it was a piece, I returned it and bought a psp. Psp is much better. Better graphics, better games, way more things you can do with it. If you really like ds's go for it, but from my experience with it(and friends too), I dont like it at all. resident evil is a good game, but thats not enough to convince me to buy one.

I contest the "better games" part. The PSP has nothing but a bunch of pared-down rehashes of PS2 games.

The DS has a ton of original games.

PSP does have an awesome screen though.

Yeah I agree with you Prime. The DS has alot of great games. I have 3 friends who owned a PSP and they have sold them to purchase a DS. I do admit if you got the DS when it first came out it didn't have any good games. But now that it's been out awhile alot of developers have been making some really good games for it.

There are barely any good games for the DS. There are a lot better games for the PSP thyan there are for the DS.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. there are plenty of good DS games out there.
    Mark Kart
    Mario & Luigi
    Sonic Rush
    Animal Crossings
    Viewtiful Joe
    Castlevania
    Advance Wars
    Meteos

those are just some I'm naming off teh top of my head.

ya i got the ds because of all the games that where suppose to come out for it, i like it. im really hoping a zelda or a goldeneye remake come out for it. i agree with armo in that psp doesnt have any games that are good enough for me to shell out 200 or 300 bucks for it...

I had a DS for about a month. I was stuck in a psych ward at the VA so I was glad to have something. I just could not get the whole "hold the DS and use the thumb pad and the pen thing and the buttons all at once". I don't know maybe it's just cause I'm crazy...

I'm never in a situation where I wished I had a portable gaming system, but the only one I'd be tempted to get is a GBA. Screw the PSP's "good graphics." It'd only be a reminder to me that it's not quite as good as the PS2, and it would bug me. I'm happy with old school games and a huge selection.

Although I'd be most likely to get a GP2X and try to emulate NES and SNES games, and be able to play multiple video and audio formats. But again, I really don't know how anybody my age has time to play one of those things, unless you spend a lot of time on the bus or subway or something.
