weeee! Opteron 170 heading my way (hopefully)

Just been shopping for new computery stuff, ordered myself:

MSI K8N Diamond Plus (32 lanes of PCI express goodness)
XFX 7800GTX (running at 490MHz core)
2GB XMS3500Pro (flashy lights!)

And was just about to order a 4400+ when I noticed they had Opty 170's in stock so got myself one of those instead.... just hope they still have stock tomorrow when my finance gets approved..

    please post stepping when you get it. I'm glad to hear you got the 170 instead of the 175 ...I find my x10 multi more stable and faster.

    well, somewhat inevitably, they're now out of stock on the Opty 170's, and (more annoyingly) on the XMSLL3500 I wanted... so I'm going to have to settle for a 4400+ and some higher latency DDR500 :(... unless I want to wait god knows how long for them to try (and probably fail) to get more stock.

    heh, that's pretty much what I've been doing.... spoke to the shop again today and a lovely girl there who seemed to be much more clued up said they might be getting some more optys in stock today so fingers crossed :)

    edit: Just spoke to them again, my memory and opty are in stock and will be delivered tomorrow :D
