Was Stanford having problems yesterday?

I waited over 3 hours and many attemps according to my log to get a new packet. I was just curious if anyone knew anything. Everything here and beteen me and any sites I visited seemed fine and when I got my new work it was just like normal except for the wait.

Bad news on another front:
My secondary rig won't fold. I tried memtest and it turns out the memory is bad. So I will need to wait till I get some cash for more. :(

They can be periodictic slow, not often. They quite a few servers that distribute the work, you may have just been caught with one that was having some maintenance :)

Bummer on the second rig :(

I I stopped and restarted several times and even rebooted twice to get it to go. I did it to me after my last project also. I kept getting a message to the effect of no work available. ???

It seems that one server is on standby and 4 servers accepting only ...http://folding.stanford.edu/serverstat.html

this is exactly why I run multiple clients on the same machine ...

Also, the Stanford WEBSITE server was busy(loaded to overload) as heck off and on yesterday-- several times, checked things and had VERY long load times on the broadband box, so possibly they were working on the networking or the website also. I got outside the time Windows for send-receive that you were in for turnins, luckily enough.

    John.

I'm going and have another waiting as soon as I finish this one.

Tex is still over at IC in storage and controllers. He pops in to post ATTO's on the same here from time to time too. I do need to call him.
