No Matter what I do, or scan, i cant get rid of the smitfraud-c like virus on this computer. It has the red bubble with a cross, and a small windows/globe thing saying my pc is infected. It periodically also installs SpyFalcon 2.0 - I cant stop it. I've had to just keep uninstalling it.

I ran through the smitfraud-c removal guide, and that hasnt worked. The computer asked me what account to log into when i started: Administrator and Simpy (the one i use - though ive never seen administrator seperate to Simpy before because Simpy is the administrator). Anyway, On Administrator, the icon didnt come up and i ran through it and it was still there on start up.

On Simpy, the Icon was there...and i did the steps again but it never worked.

I need help!

Sorry for double post, but i should also note that I have gone through the hijack log manually, and have deleted the two things which could be bad (Going from the webpage which describes what each is). It still gives me bad on one of the .dll files, but that is fine, I have checked it.

Edit: I should also say, unlike smitfraud-c, I can change my desktop - just not my start home page for the net, etc.

Update: Ran Ewido and Adaware, and they didnt even detect anything...

Update: After Running Spybot S&D numerous times over the last 2 days to try and fix this, I have come across the following things:

PSGuard
Smitfraud-c.
WIndows Security Center.AntiVirusOverride
Vcodec
Windows Security Center.AntiVirusDisableNotify
Windows.ActiveDesktop

They are all fixed at the moment...(Supposedly...)

The damned trojan/virus whatever it is, is still there!

Nevermind - I've fixed it by deleting the file: Dxmpp.dll in the system32 folder. Kaspersky Recognizes the file if you get it to scan the system

Anyone with SpyFalcon 2.0 thing (its a very new spyware), you need to delete all registry entries pertaining to it, as well as the file ive mentioned, and any other file in the system32 folder.

I had to do this in safe mode loaded with command prompt - because otherwise the pc loads the file in and u cant delete it.

YAY!
