So basically, I have an ATI Radeon x1900, amd 64x2 4800+, 2gigs ocz ram, dfilanparty rdx200 mobo, blah blah blah, and I have updated drivers, bios, etc, and I still cannot play without random hl2exe errors or my computer crashing. I've tried all of the obvious things and nothing has worked. Can anyone plz help o.o thx

HL2 is very good at letting you know something may be wrong with your memory. I had to take out an extra DIMM of mine in order for my HL2 to work, yet not a SINGLE issue in ANY other game. But that was on my last system :P

It could be the motherboard like mine was. The RAM was good, but the MB had 3 DIMM's and it just didn't like me having 3 DIMM's of memory. Like i said, it was fine in every other game. But HL2 can detect problems easily.

Try lowering some of the timings on your RAM and see if that fixes it.
