Possible VX2 Variant

Well, I think I need help. My computer was infected on Sunday by what I believe is a variant of the VX2 virus. It basically starts IE on it's own and brings up tons of popups. I tried all the normal stuff, AdAware, Spybot S&D, MS Antispyware, etc. It keeps coming back. There's a process running that I can remove and it points at a file that doesn't exist, and it constantantly changes it's name. What a pain in the butt. I'm hopeing someone here can help. I ran HijackThis, and I think I identified the issue. It's the only O20 entry, but I can seem to get rid of it. Here's the log. The name of the dll changes after every reboot I think. Oh yeah, installed lavasofts VX2 cleaner, but it just reported that it was an unknown variant of VX2.

    Hi. Thanks for cutting out the step where I ask for the L2mfix log :)

    Now follow the below directions since you already downloaded l2mfix. You do have the infection :(

    Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

    From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new Hijackthis log.

    IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

    Note : Once the PC has restarted if a log does not appear or the icons didn't disappear, run the "second.bat" located inside the L2mfix folder.

    Thanks for your help. I already fixed it though by reading other threads. I was afraid to run the "Fix" from L2MFix since no one really says what that does, but I was able to identify 4 dlls in the Windows\System32 folder with today's date and the current time. After I found those, I used that KillBox.exe program referenced in another thread and entered in the 4 dlls. After the reboot, it apparently stubbed out three of them and deleted one of them. I was then able to remove the O20 entry in HijackThis and was able to removed the stubbed out dlls. After that everything seems good.

    Thanks, the forum was very handy in finding out what was going on.
