The problem is that the virus is a memory resident. Basically when you boot up the trojan loads a file into the PC's memory. Your AV will try to remove it but because it is treated as a running aplication you won't be able to delete it.

Hijack This is a very usefull program which will list all running processes and Registration Entries. There is a handy website called www.100-downloads.com and you can get hijack this from there. There is also a section on this website where you can get it from (I think). BE VERY CAREFULL WITH THIS SOFTWARE. YOU CAN DO SERIOUS DAMAGE. If you install and run the software you can create a log file which you can post on this site. I don't know enough about individual entries to help but there are some fantastic people on this site who will.

DO NOT TRY AND REMOVE ANY PROCESSES OR REGISTRATION ENTRIES WITH HIJACK THIS, WITHOUT GETTING SOMEONE TO LOOK AT YOUR LOG FIRST!

I would make sure you keep your AV up to date and invest in some spy ware removal. As I have recently descovered for home use you don't need to spend a fortune. AVG Antivirus is free for home use. Also get yourself Spybot Search and Destroy and AdAware. They are all free downloads and will keep your system safe. Also look for a decent firewall.

All of these can be found at www.100-downloads.com This is a usefull site with loads of bits of free software.

I would also recomend reading this thread. http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39435
