my pic is opening up firefox randomly..while im not there..

heys guys..

ive used this forum b4 to remove spysptrike so i know i can trust u guys

to make a long story short i tried to burn some dvd movies i dloadied..more specifically avi files converted to dvd with a proggy called vso divx2dvd i dloaded from the net. i tried to dload a pro version of this file from limewire and ever since then my pc been acting like its on pms

my firefox gui opens up randomly..wether im there or not and just pops open to a site usually having to do with virus removal or spyware or something related.
if i open firefox on my own it will open a new tab..if i leave to go to work and come back 8 hrs later like today i had 18 open tabs in firefox...no clue what they were..

now this problem started late afternoon yesterday so i dloaedd a new version of spybot and ran it..clearing up a bunch of crap.but kept on getting something cmd or command that would convince spybot to restart and run itself agian when my pc reboots..which it wouldf..then spybot would run and not remove it.- problem 1

problem 2 - the popups and firefox acting all werid..as well when it opens the pop ups it also resizes the gui window to like a half size..or a quarter or whatever it happens to be feeling at the time.

problem 3 - i run limewire alot..i dloaded a fair bit of stuff..movies and audio 99% of the time.very rarely programs now i do run on a virus program on the programs i dload and the audio but ive never ever had a virus in the movies or audio..as my understanding is its v hard to make a virus integrated with media but i could be wrong. in any case limewire will occasionally grind to a halt and freeze my pc..and then dconect..

so far what ive done - run spybot s and d like 5 times
dloaded avg trial edition ran it..it removed somewhere like 65 virus's trojan files = vb.cc all of them and whatnot.so anoymous adware as well.

result still doin the same crap as b4 all the problems still exist..




pc is a amd 2600 with a 1g of ram win xp pro w sp2 net hookup is cable hardwired into the router.

    Do the following please:


    You currently have HijackThis.exe sitting in a Temp Folder here

    C:\DOCUME~1\jake\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.672\Hijack This.exe

    Create a new folder for it on your desktop and then move HJT to the new folder. This is important so backups can be created.

    Remove the following from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, if found:

    Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop.

    - Print out these instructions and close ALL windows before continuing.
    - Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
    - Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
    - You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
    - When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
    - Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
    - You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
    - When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown
    your computer    , click OK.
    - Your computer will then shutdown.
    - Turn your computer back on.

    Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:

    When installing the program, under "Additonal Options" uncheck..
    • Install background guard
    • Install scan via context menu

    Once installed, update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.
    Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
    1) Restart your computer
    2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

    For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:

    Once in Safe Mode, please run Ewido
    (Do not use the computer while Ewido is scanning)
    • Click on scanner
    • Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
    • NOTE: During some scans with ewido it is finding cases of false positives.
    • You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
    • If ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
    • DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
    • If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.
    • When the scan is finished, click the Save report button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Save the report to your desktop
    Close Ewido

    Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

    Can you do the following:


    Run HiJackThis then:

    1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
    2. Click "Open Process manager"

    -

    Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

    C:\windows\winsysban9.exe
    C:\windows\winsysban9.exe
    C:\gimmygames9.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\sys09417896089.exe

    Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain

    If you didn't set these with SpyBot, remove them!

    For The SpyBot Problem Do This

    Open SpyBot
    Click the Mode Tab > Click Advanced > Press Yes
    Click Settings at the bottom
    Press Settings along the menu
    Scroll down to Automation and take a Screen Shot of "Program start" and "System start"
