Portable video player?

I wanna check on portable video players, what all are out there and the types of videos they play. I know apple has one out like an iPod, but I'd be willing to bet it would be fairly propeitary. It should play MPG's and such.

So what's out there?:respect:

    Irivers is pretty good, they have a couple nice Portable media centers that play music and vidoes. ummm creative has a couple good ones to. I was saving up for an iriver video player (or pmc) but i ended up getting a psp instead because i wanted to play games also. so i couldnt tell you how they are, but i heard they were good.

    The ipod plays mpeg 4 files and its easy enough to convert anything but real media files to it :).

    I know! I'll probably be buying this as soon as I can save up. Just bought an $1,800 laptop so I need to be good on the pockets for a little while ;D

    check out archos. They make some nice players, my friend has one. We were watching 2 fast 2 furious on it. Its alright, the screen is only about 4 inches though. I think it has a 20 or 40 gig hd, not sure. either way its nice
