You're taking all my secrets away.... :D

I've used it often and it not a match to our SVT Team but it's a fast alternative.

Sorry to step on your toes. But I hate having to deal with manually analyzing posts over and over again. Run it through this first. It's great at narrowing out the common problems, which allows you to concentrate on the actual potential issues.

No...no... that's fine. No toes stepped on. I use it but I'm not an expert on Spyware. I am good but not an expert. I use the analyzer to help refine my techiques. And it saves time too!!!

Fair enough. The way I try (try) to tackle any problem is show them how to fish....

Yes it's a good site but infections change so much and the detail that malware writers write into their code makes these tools a little cumbersome to use for the novice who might delete an entry the tool says is unknown but then turns out to be OK, or vice versa. I agree though that it can sort out the very common ones.

True, but this site is pretty good at keeping ontop of updates from what I've seen. It also lables things unknown before flagging them safe or bad. Which means seek out more info on the unknown ones. This isn't going to replace user knowledge completely but it can certainly narrow down the number of questions being asked. Which is always a step in the right direction. Lets people focus in on the specific problems instead of having to wade through all the non-issues first.
