AVI ish.. What's up with screen-split?

edited February 2006 in Science & Tech
Earlier today, my husband downloaded an AVI movie. He says it took him about a week for it to finish, as we were using a program (BearShare) to get it. He started to watch it, and everything worked fine, but I insisted he stop the movie so we could watch something else. In that time, the only changes were that I disabled FilterKeys and I installed Kodak EasyShare on here. It originally didn't play in BearShare, but it does now, and, just as it does in WMP, the screen splits. Any solutions?

You probably need to update your Codec's. I'd suggest getting the K-lite master codec pack. It should fix the problem. I'd also suggest not playing video back in bearshare or any of those other types of programs. Instead use a real media player. Media Player Classic comes with K-lite Master and even though the current windows media player is a bloated beast it does work.
