Changing the icon for my harddrive and cd-rom.

what is the easiest way of changing the icon of a hard drive or cd-rom?

(I have like 8 different drives cause of my paritioning, so icons would help a bunch).

I use icon wizard, but i needs to put a file in the directory before the folder, which isn't possible for a root directory cause there is nothing before it!

Thanks for any help.

    Well my external hard drive has an autorun.inf in its root that reads:
    [autorun]
    ICON=AUTORUN\WDLOGO.ICO

    That ICO is what icon appears with the drive instead of the hard disk icon. This may likely not work with a fixed drive though.

    As far as I've seen you have to use a program that does it for you like windows blinds for example. You have to use some kind of a theme and edit it that way.

    Why don't you just right click on your icon/properties/change icon..

    Display Properties>Desktop>Customize Desktop> look around ;)

    Maybe that'll help you out.
