Yeah, only options are either using the outdated ones from the company you bought the machine from, or use Omega. You can also extract the drivers from ATis site to a folder then force Windows to use the x700 series driver, it will say it is the wrong driver but will work fine anyway (it is what I used to do before I installed Omegas).
OK This thing is a real beast.... just played BF2(unpatched) maxed out wit x6 AA!!!
It played SMOOTHLY! WTF! While playing I was also downoading the pacthes for BF2. Gonna install the Call of Duty 2 game now and see how that goes.
The review I'm gonna do is gonna rock. I honestly wasn't thinking of this machine as a gaming rig, but after BF2 I think it'll do just fine for my needs and then some.
Heh, so ATi finally decided to actually support their mobility products did they? (couldn't even support their own mobility products, heh, maybe we'll see Linux support soon?).
Was this an expensive method of bypassing the rule in your sig RWB?
