AOA Forums gives us an early peek of one of the first nForce 5 DDR-2 motherboards designed around the new AMD M2 socket.
Now that M2 will shortly replace 939, will 939 become the low budget line, or will it dissapear into the night, leaving the much older 754 as the alternative?

Source: TechspotThis ABit board, supporting DDR2-1066 memory, faster than any stock Intel board today, PCI-Express x32(2 x16) and having 6 SATA-II RAID / Dual GigE, definitely looks like it is going to shine(at least particular models).

Must go before I puke.
Quoted from the aoaforums :
"On 2-23-2006 we published a picture of what we believed to be a prototype of a new Abit NF5 motherboard. It now appears that picture was nothing more than a doctored photograph of the MSI K9N prototype that was previewed over at gathering.tweakers.net. If you look closely at the second picture shown there, and compare it to our picture, you will see that the two motherboards are in fact identical.
Our apologies for all those who started salivating for nothing. The picture was presented in good faith, both on our part and on the part of the member who posted it. All we can say is that sometimes, in an effort to be ahead of the curve on breaking news, mistakes are made. When they are made and we discover them, we will make sure that we come clean."
I have removed the picture from the news posts. Thanks
Such a hideous edit.
