No sound when playing dvd's

I have two DVD-r's in my comp and niether one will play the sound when the dvd is inserted. Video is fine though.

The computer will play MP3s and video games though, so Im not sure what to do.

    sorry dont want to sound like a jackass or anything, but the emergency forum is for non-bootable computers only.


    list your systems specs please (and next time post in the correct forum)
    cpu, mobo, dvd drive ect...

    Check the sound settings in your DVD playback software. You might try the Codec Pack All in 1, too.

    ok, now you made me seem like one :(

    I just meant that i didnt want to sound mean when i was telling you to click on the right forum.....

    Did you try the codec pack? What software are you using to playback the DVD's? :)

    it's probably because you are playing DVDs with DTS soundtracks, and your camputer can not read them.
