Network issue, please help!

Hi everyone, the title basically says it all in this case, but let me explain in more depth. Basically, the computer that I am on is not sharing.

This computer can access any other computer on the network, it has file and printer sharing setup properly, it works on the internet properly, however other computers can not access any files or printers on it! This is a severe annoyance because I have a laser printer attached in my room which cannot be shared because this computer is being greedy. Are there any diagnostics or anything that I can do to diagnose and fix this problem? If you need any more information on the network devices, etc please let me know what you need and I will be happy to find it for you.

    do you have any firewall running on this computer??

    Oh, woah, you genious, I never thought of that! Boy do I feel stupid.

    I have the sygate personal firewall... you were right, I had some network option unchecked. Thanks dude! You have been a big help!

    I am going to proceed to chastise myself for not thinking about that!!!
