How do I uninstall Panda antivirus

edited February 2010 in Science & Tech
I downloaded Panda antivirus as suggested to assist with the removal of Spyfalcon and got so many problems with it requesting me to removal AVG, zone alarm etc. all the competition, that I decided to bag it. Now when I boot up it starts to automatically load up to the point it says there is compatability issues.
Now I can't get rid of it. I have tried everything I can think of.

Have you gone to Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel?

You should be able to click Start>>Run then type in msconfig and go to the Startup tab and keep it from automatically loading while you get the rest sorted out.

Hey, thanks for the info, I did finally get it by opening task manager and stoping the PavPrSrv.exe and then doing a search for the same exe which was in the program files - common files. I deleted all of them then ran CCleaner for the registry and done, no more Panda, Wow that was a really odd app. And thank you for the help... Gary

First of all you shouldn't be running more then 1 anti-virus software or firewall software at a time. So if you had avg and zone-alarm installed then panda isn't wrong in requiring that you remove them. You should have uninstalled them first before installing panda.

I would recommend you uninstall AVG and Zone Alarm if you haven't yet. Then re-install Panda. Reboot and then Uninstall Panda. Then make sure the program files folder for it is gone and ccleaner it again.

Then I'd recommend not using any of those packages and going with Microsoft Security Essentials.
