Hi Folks

Just need a little help here. I have three pcs hook up to a Linksys 8 port router from another router from the master bedroom. The question I have is that I seem to have lost my ip address for pc # 1. Number 2 and 3 work fine on the router. I don't know how I manage to loose it, but I did. Now that I tried ipconfig /all; all I see now on # 1 pc is host name - playroom, primary DNS suffix (blank), node type broadcast, ip routing enabled - no, vins proxy no. On pc # 2 & # 3 I can connect to the internet. I tried the network cable from PC # 2 to PC # 1 and it connects, but when I connect a network cable to an open port from PC # 1 to router I loose all connections to all pc's. I have to reboot router to get connections back to pc's 2 & 3. I hope this make sense to you all. Its difficult when you are new at this.

Thanks Bannock

Is DHCP disabled on the second router so that it functions merely as a switch? If you've got two devices trying to act as DHCP Servers on the same network that could be causing your problem.
