Opteron 170 noob

edited March 2006 in Hardware
Anyone help me with overclocking my new kit - Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe, Opteron 170. Have read through various 'stickies etc', but still struggling with the basics. Peviously an Intel user, so this is all very new, anyone with similar kit who can give me some help with the basics.
cheers

    Well, welcome to short-media.

While I don't have the same board as you, I can tell you the 170 is potentially a GREAT overclocker.

    What stepping do you have?

    Hi Patrick,

Welcome to Short-Media. Take a look at the 'Overclocking the 754/939 Platform' article here: http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=300

It should provide a good source of information, since you are not familar with the platform. Let us know how it goes

    For not knowing what you're doing, a 500mhz OC isn't bad :D
