Concerning the mobo, cpu and videocard
I thought this looked like a good forum to ask tech stuff, so here goes! I'm not good at all with any form of computer hardware, so please forgive me.
- I'm currently happy with my PC, except for the motherboard and the CPU. I have a Pentium IV 2GHz at the moment, and want to replace it with an AMD board and processor. Is it as easy as buying the new mobo and cpu, putting it in the case, transplanting all the old stuff on it and you're good to go?
- The AMD processor I'd like is only 2.2 GHz. Are clockspeeds in AMD processors different from Intel ones? A 200 Mhz increase doesn't seem that good.
- Are all GeForce 6200 cards unlockable to become a 6600? Or is there a chart that shows which brands are unlockable and which are not?
