Are there any books on Raid???

Been trying to find a book on Raid. Setting up basic raid is not too hard, but would like to find out more about what happens and why you do certain things.

Would be nice if there is a book along the lines of:"a Dummies guide to Raid", just for us noobs. (Raid 101??) If all there is available is the real technical one, guess that would be better than nothing.

Came across this one: " RAIDbook: A Storage System Technology Handbook, 6th Edition "

Every site we found that claims to have it on their list, worldwide, cannot supply. I do believe it is now out of print.

If anyone can give us a link to a book, simular to the one mentioned or links to some good write-ups, it will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure someone will be along to recommend a good book, but I'd bet you can find pretty much everything you want to know online at no charge.

The only BOOK on RAID I found was for Linux admin of RAID.

OTOH, if you look for "Storage" in the computer part of a site, you might find a useful book or five or ten.

Thanks for the links guys, that will all help. When we were young, around the time of the Boston Tea party, there was no Raid. Bit hard for us old noobs.:)
