Browser pop-ups every 3-5 minutes

Hello all.

Running Win XP
Ran latest updates of: windows defender, adaware, trend-micro house call, pc-antihijacker, XoftSpySE, etc

Tried updating to IE 7 beta, disabling IE, only to have the pop-ups start showing up in Firefox. I'm at my witts end here. Please help. :wow2:

Update: DL'ed latest version of Spybot. Deleted files it deemed as annoyances and still getting a rash of pop ups/pop unders every 3-5 minutes. Noticed it does this to what ever browser I have set as the default browser. Does this mean that the culprit is propably a registry key?
