Doesn't actually say how much faster the cores become but AMD seems interested.

    Yeah, they had a little blurb over at the Inquirer about AMD's interest in Clearspeed. The AMD guy they talked to said that the Cell processors were a wake up call.

    lol! I read about these some time back, but never heard much about it after that. Thought it was one of those tech's that disappeared.. Makes me wonder how these ships would run as regular CPU's and not as a helper....? I mean at 200Mhz pushing 26.8 Gigaflops that some crazy computing .. lets get a 2Ghz core and push 536Gigaflops per sec….
