Short-Media launches Convergence forum

Short-Media.com has created a niche in its forums for 'Convergence', an area dedicated to how technologies are intersecting each other and our lives.

"Convergent computing has been touted as the next big thing for several years now," said deicist, Short-Media's new Convergence guru, "and technology is getting to the stage where it can finally support these promises. Short-Media needs to cover this stuff."

I think this area holds a lot of great potential.

Thought I'd re-post Deicist's description of "What Is Convergence" here, in case anyone else was wondering, but didn't click the link.
Must anticipate the impatientness of the average Internet user

On a personal note, since I don't have unlimited funds to buy lots of equipment and test it all, a lot of the articles and posts you'll see from me will be theoretical ones, or 'this is what you can do' type articles rather than 'this is how this device performs' type articles. Having said that, I am interested in this area and do have several devices I can write about from personal experience so expect to see reviews and how-to articles about various bits and bobs.
