Ok this isn't an emergency,But I tried once and went almost nuts
Trying to get a dell together even with help from here I couldn't
get it up and running.
So Profdlp said if I have another motherboard which I do it's a IWill
to try again and use it so I did.
Now the PC I use is on cable with XP Pro and the other pc is a
spare parts thing so I call it Frankstein and it has windows 2000 on.
What I want to do is network them together so I can get on line with both
and I don't have a hub. So is there a way to join them both without a hub
and get them both on line

I have done connection sharing with two W2k machines. The set up is rather difficult to follow, but it works fine.
Does your XP machine have two network ports?
You will need a crossover cable and a search on 'internet connection sharing'.

I'm not sure I don't know alot, But Frankstein up and running I do have another ethernet card to plug in if I need to and for ports as far as I know there's nothing plugged into them. The XP one is a dell 2400 if that's helps

As edcentric mentioned, you'll need a CAT-5 Crossover cable to get things going. When you have that you'll want to set up the following:

WinXP machine with two NIC's; one using a standard cable going to the cable modem and the other using the crossover cable going to the Win2K computer.

The Internet Connection Sharing Wizard should get you going from there. If you have questions, just yell. :)

Any of those places should have them. Make sure you get one that's long enough to reach from one computer to the other.
