Home network very slow....
I have two PC's networked toghether from the same router using standard cat 5e cables.
PC 1. Dell 863mhz 512 RAM running Windows XP
PC 2. Compaq 1.8ghz 512 RAM running Windows XP
Whenever I try to access either computers files from either computer I get consistently low speeds. I've figured it out that its about 5.5 mbps. Is that typical of a 100 mbps link? Also whenever I disconnect PC 2 and turn on the wireless card I get even slower speeds, about 1 mbps. Is this normal or is something set up/configured wrong?
