Here it is, in its entirety. I can't resend it again without going through a bunch of rigamarole

Alright, with that bit out of the way, let's get to the good stuff.

You may have noticed that we are slowly changing things around the forums. Our good friend Dogsoldier has redesigned the forum skin for us, and the general consensus is "awesome". Short Media is looking better than it ever has. We will soon be launching our redesigned front page as well, which will be far more streamlined and attractive than the current one. We are calling this new look "short-media 4.0".

We can't exactly call it "4.0" with just a cosmetic makeover though, so we've gone a lot further: We are completely restructuring the site! We are refocusing our energies into the areas where we excel and we are trying to move away from the tired old "general tech site forums" model. To begin, we've done a few minor changes around the forums, which represent a shift of focus for the administration and staff. We've gotten rid of the "moderator" and "supermoderator" positions, and created a new staff model: Adjudicators, and Gurus.

The Adjudicators are the site police, the community leaders, and peace keepers. They set the tone of the forums. They've been doing such a fantastic job for almost three years now - we can't imagine a better staff. The fair, even handed, and subtle moderation that they perform is just... elegant.

The Gurus are the experts in their individual areas of the site. In their individualsections, they are the advocates, experts, and consultants. If you have a question about overclocking, and you post it in the Performance Tweaking section, you can bet that one of our performance gurus (lemonlime and muddocktor, in this case) will be there to help you out, encourage you, and show you how to squeeze every last bit of performance out of your system.

We've launched several new areas, which we encourage you to visit. For example:

The end result will be a computer that doesn't look, sound or behave like a computer but still has the flexibility and power of a computer.
