Logitech mouse charging problems - my quick fix

I love Logitech mice. I really do. But their chargers? They suck.
I have had an MX1000 and now an MX700 where the charger has "died". I would sit there and try all kinds of crazy things like licking the contacts right before I slammed the mouse into the cradle, or spend two minutes balancing it just so until the light went "green" which would cause me an inordinate amount of excitement. Eventually, my voodoo finally stopped working and the mouse just went dead and I started using regular AA batteries.
Then, in desperation I tried something weird and so I was able to fix my MX700 charger. In hindsight, this may have worked for my MX1000 as well....
Anyways, what I did was rub some Arctic Silver 5 into the charging contacts on the bottom of the mouse, and then put a dab on each charging "nub" on the base station. After rubbing it in much like I would rub it into a heatsink or IHS to prep the surface, the charging contacts make perfect contact every time. It's a bit messy, but it WORKS.
The MX700 lives!
