HJT logo after Problem with TR/Dldr.Small.ayl.0

I recently had some problems with the TR/Dldr.Small.ayl.0, although AntiVir Guard picked it up, then i tried to delete it AntiVir Guard stopped working, after a restat, AntiVir would stop working when ever its Luke Filewalker came accross the infect file. I was able to remove it after turning off system restore and starting up in safe mode. Future AntiVir scans show everything being ok. Could someone take a look at my HJT logo and let me know if anything is wrong. Thanks

i then ran it through the HiJackThis! Log auto analyzer over at Network Techs

The 'O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\nvappfilter.dll' all came up red, as the Winsock Hijacker. The solution i found at The Tech Guys, says to download the LSPFix Utility and follow there instructions to remove the bad DLL.

    1. Run LSPFix.
    2. Check 'I know what I'm doing'.
    3. Select 'inetadpt.dll'.
    4. Click the right-pointing arrow (moves it to the "remove" page).
    5. Click 'Finished'.
    6. Restart your computer in "Safe Mode" (F5 or F8 when starting Windows).
    7. Delete the following file: c:\windows\system\inetadpt.dll
    8. Restart your computer and bring it up in normal mode.

Note that the bad DLL in the above examples is 'inetadpt.dll'. This name may be different on a similar hijack.

I'm guessing i need to deleate the nvappfilter.dll.

The only problem is that Castlecorps tells me that Nvappfilter.dll is a Valid LSPs (Layered Service Provider), NVidia Nforce Network Access Manager. And i don't want to deleate it until i'm totally sure

That O10 entry is safe, so there is no need to remove it. Your log is clean as well :)

The only problem I see is that you have two Anti-Virus programs...Trend Micro and AntiVir. That is not a good idea because two Anti-Virus programs can conflict, which will cause more problems. You can keep them both, if only one of them has real time protection. Otherwise, uninstall one of them.

Let me know how things are. :)

    Thanks Trogan_1000,

Don't supose you have any idea what the TR/Dldr.Small.ayl.0 is, so far i've only found limited info on it, other names it has for different antivirus software etc. The checked the common places you'd expect to see evidence of a virus (the host file and the Registry) and they are clean. I don't know if the Trojan was ever active.

I'm not too sure what the TR/Dldr.Small.ayl.0 file is. Like you, I couldn't find much info on it.

Its most probably a false positive, but just in case you can run this online scan.
