AMD Producing 65 nm Chips

AMD said Fab 36, based in Dresden, is on track to begin shipping 65 nanometre CPUs in the second half of 2006.

Dirk Meyer, president of AMD, said: "The increased capacity provided by Fab 36 will contribute to our goal of doubling total production output from 2005 through 2008."
