Microsoft Management Console - Can't Get Into System Devices!

I have not been able to get into system devices in quite some time now. Every time I go into control panel and try to get into system devices I get an error message stating that MMC Microsoft managment console needs IE5.1 or later when in fact I have IE6. I tried to reinstall WINdows service pack2 but not luck. I do believe it has something to do with microsofts .net framework? Thanks in advance for help.

    I'd run the System File Checker and make sure that everything is alright with that.

    Just click Start>>Run then type in SFC /scannow and click OK. Make sure you have your Windows CD handy. :)
