mudd's Thermalright sale

edited May 2006 in Trading Post
OK, I've been migrating my machines to newer, quieter heatsinks and now I need to clear out some Thermalright heatsinks. All are in good shape and 4 of the 5 heatsinks are totally complete, with all fan clips and parts. Here is the list of what I need to sell:

1. Thermalright SLK900-A - complete with all parts. $25 shipped SOLD on the OCF forums. Arguably the best socket 462 hsf ever made. Takes 70mm, 80mm and 92mm fans. Note this heatsink uses all 6 socket clips and can be used on any AXP mobo that conforms to AMD's keep out and height restriction zones.

2. Thermalright SLK947-U - complete with all parts. $25 shipped Will work with either socket 478 (2 different mounting methods) or socket 462 (socket A). Another great choice for cooling either a P4 or an AXP system. Uses the same size fans as the SLK900-A. This heatsinks uses the 4 holes around the socket for mounting on AXP systems and can use either the stock Intel HRM or the mounting holes on socket 478 systems.

3. Thermalright SLK948-U - complete with all parts. $25 shipped - Sold on the OCF Forums Will work with socket 478 or A64 systems (all socket versions). Basically the same as the SLK947-U except for the mounting bracket redesign so that it can be used for socket 754/939/940 systems. Will not mount on older AXP (socket 462) systems. These also work great on mobile A64 processors that don't have the IHS without any modifications to the heatsink or mobo.

4. Thermalright SLK947-U - Now Complete with all parts. $25 shipped Same as heatsink number 2. Note, in the picture, the standoffs and spring loaded screws weren't included in the picture, but I found them this morning. Be assured that this kit is also totally complete.

5. Thermalright SLK948-U - Missing P4 spring loaded mounting screws and 70mm and 92mm fan clips. $20 shipped -Sold to edcentric This heatsink will still mount on either A64 or P4 machines, but I only have the clips for mounting to the stock P4 HRM and don't have the smaller spring loaded screws for mounting to a P4 system without the HRM. It is totally complete for mounting to an A64 system though, which uses the larger spring loaded screws for A64 retention.

All prices are with shipping included to the contingous 48 states via USPS Priority insured.

Payment will be by USPS money order or in certain circumstances, personal check. I have a Paypal account, but I don't use it for accepting payment due to them charging me 4% on any purchase made from me, whether it was made with CC or from a bank account (greedy bastards:rant: ). My heatware is in the link in my sig.

EDIT:

OK, I just downgraded my Paypal account to a regular account and Paypal no longer rips me off on everything I sell. I now take Non-CC funded Paypal payments.

These are some damn good socket A/P4 heatsinks. I have had them all and perform excellent.

Mudd is a great guy too.:)

A few, what you are looking for, Ed? I have an 80mm smartfan2 and an 80mm vantec tornado I can let go of. Add $5 for a fan.

No, the holes line up differently AFAIK. Xeons are hard to find high performance heatsinks for, since Intel decided to make their mounting different from a regular P4. :grumble:

However, I do have a Swiftech MCX-462+ heatsink that I'm not using that can be used with socket 603 (and I guess socket 604, but I'm not sure) with an adapter kit from Swiftech for $2.25.You might have to cut the spring tension screws down too, since they are presently made for mounting to a socket 462 mobo through the heatsink itself (the base is 1/2" thick copper), but looking at it closer, I think they will work as-is. If you want it I would sell it for $15 shipped. It has the mobo mounting studs, but I don't have the fan clip buttons for it any more. I imagine that Swiftech might have them though or you could just rig up new fan mounts.

SLK900A is sold on the Overclockers.com forums.

And a bump back to the top.

Damn, nobody needs some good coolers for a P4, AXP or A64?

I'll tell you what, for Team 93 members, I'll knock off $5 on the heatsinks I have left. It cost me $7 to ship the heatsink I sold already, so you see I'm not making a killing on these heatsinks. I'll also upgrade the shipping to priority too.

EDIT: Another point; these heatsinks all have a fairly low profile, so there shouldn't be any clearance issues with your case, even in a compact case like an Antec Aria.

I just downgraded my Paypal account to a regular account, so I will now take Non-CC funded Paypal as payment also. The discounts still apply to all Team 93 folders too.

My other SLK948-U has been sold on the overclockers.com forums.

I still have both SLK947-U heatsinks left for sale. They are a great choice for a P4 or an AXP rig that the mobo has the 4 mounting holes around the socket.
