    WooHoo! Welcome, Preacher!!! :fold:

On a side note, I tried to get one of my friends to start folding for #93, but he said if he changed teams it would be to go back to Maximum PC. Grrrrrrrrr. I'm gonna try to keep him where he is, LOL.

    Gents,
Thanks for the Folding Welcome. I'm bringing two systems into the S-M "fold." While I don't exactly have a server farm (it's more like a country garden), my wife's Celeron 433 Laptop and my AMD 2500+ desktop will be folding their collective butts off.

Now, that I'm up and contributing a couple quick questions for you folding aficionados:

    1) I used the exact same settings on my laptop (machine 2) as my desktop (machine 1). Is this correct?

    2) Where can I download the folding display for Coolmon?

    3) Do these flags, "-advmethods -local -forceasm", help on the Celeron or only the AMD?

    4) Is there a way to make the console version run only in the systray?

Any other tips and advice to maximize my contribution are welcome and encouraged.

You "Shy and Reserved" Friend in Folding:fold::cool2:,
    Preacher

:rarr:P.S. Anybody wanna debate!?!?:rarr: JJ, Shorty!;)

-advmethods is used to get you gromacs
-forceasm is used to force SSE only if it is available on that cpu

you have both machineID's set to machineid=1 right? that's how it should be

Ooops....No I don't, but I'll change the laptop to machine 1 as well. That seems counterintuitive.....why have them all as the same machine?

Machide ID allows for several IDs for each computer.

Coolmon: Look in the everything about FAH thread.

You can run the console as a service and then run EM3 in the tray. Or you can get the GUI version.

Thanks, Shorty. Coming from you that pun is extra special!

As Confucious says, "Give a man a gromac and he folds for a day. Teach a man to fold and next thing you know he's $10,000.00 in debt and on a first name basis with the NewEgg sales reps."
