Can't get to BIOS

edited April 2006 in Hardware
I encountered a problem. I can no longer get to my BIOS:confused: . It simply skips the BIOS screen and goes straight to wanting a OS. I was trying to get my computer to realize all 160 gigs of space. But when I went to reinstall xp, it didn't realize it. So, instead of using the WinXP disk that came with the computer, I used another disk which had sp1. But everytime I tried starting it up, it would get to the windows loading screen then, the screen would go blank. Usualy, it restarted after that. Angry, I reformatted the drive And left it that way (I plan on picking up a XP disk at a store). Once I did that, this happened...
Please help!

Unplug the computer and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard, then move the BIOS jumper to the reset position. Leave it there for five minutes, then move the jumper back, reinstall the CMOS battery, then plug it in and see how it goes. :)
