Yep. Valve has NOT confirmed the delay which I believe Vivendi, the publisher put out (You know, ever since HL2 was really announced, Valve doesn't seem to cooperate with Vivendi much ) this happened with the first delay. Vivendi put out the notice it'd be delayed and Valve kept trying for Sept 30th. Eventually they gave in. Then the source code leak kinda took everyone by surprise.
Actually, I've read that Vivendi has never confirmed the delay either. They did say a delay was possible, though.
Being as now both the game, and the entire source has been released, unless they feel like rewriting the whole game, I'd say it'd be better if they just learned from this, release what they were planning on releasing, and patch it up later if need be.
I had tried posting all this info in the news... but apparently no-one agreed with me. :'(
Was browsing EB's website when I came across this listing for a pre-order of HL2. EB says the game ships on November 27th of this year? Is this true, or is EB off the rocker?
If it's true, maybe there's hope for HL2 @ Short-LAN.

I've been saying this since it was an "official" delay.... no-one listens to little old me. Geez
Just cause the media frenzies over it, doesn’t make it true.
