upgrade from WinXP Pro Version 2002 to version 2003?

Im attempting to hook up my pc and xbox 360. The support guys said that it required Windows XP version 2003. I have been trying to find out how to obtain that and am completely out of luck. Is it an update, or can anyone inform me how i could get it.

    WHAT? Only "2003" version is Windows Server 2003. He may mean Windows XP Media Center Edition. :thumbsup:

    Thats the only 2003 version i was aware of as well. No you can stream with xp but idk.....microsoft tech support agains lives up to their name of being just above mentally retarded.

    Your 360 should list a link to the site at which you download the little application necessary to share your media from a non Media Center PC, though I believe WinXP is a requirement. Make sure you have Service Pack 2 installed, and get the app. You'll be good to go.

    Yea my pc picks up the 360 fine but my 360 just cant see anything. When i try to ping the 360 it only has a success if i run test media connection....and even then the 360 still says it found no computer.

    Upgrade to service pack 2.

    Upgraded to sp2, installed .net framework 1.1 cuz 360 support said they dont support .net 2.0 Um pretty sure my dlink firewall is set right.....the pc sees the 360 fine.....i can even ping the 360 sometimes but only when i am testing the connection on the 360 and it always fails when looking for computer. Both have staticed addresses. Didnt work wireless or wired.....right now the current setup is the com is hooked up via bridge to dlink di624 and the 360 is hooked up wireless network adapter.

    try running it with a crossover cable from the pc to the 360. see what that gets you
